My mother passed away yesterday. She was something to say the least. A little bit of everything mixed together. I used to take her to Las Vegas in the late 90's twice a year and we wouldn't have a care in the world. Just like most folks, a lot of good times, bad times and everything in between. I can't put into words how much I'll miss her.

Its been a week since my mom passed. Today my aunt and cousin came and took the dogs. They have more time on their hands and can give them the attention they're used to. I came home from work to a very quiet house and this emptiness filled my soul. I know its temporary but the finality of things has again sunk its teeth a little deeper.
